EV Charging Stations Are All The Rage For Electric Cars, But One California Town Is Doubling Down By Banning All Future Gas Stations; For Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) Entering EV Charging Is Seen As A Nationwide Profit Opportunity

Solar and electric cars are associated with California’s aggressive clean energy legislation. Now Petaluma, California is first town in country to ban construction of new gas stations as it doubles down for electric cars and EV Charging Station. This bodes well for Solar Integrated Roofing Corp.’s (OTC PINK: SIRC) new Dedicated EV Charging Station Division which SIRC is building by acquiring through a binding LOI for its first acquired company — Pacific Lighting. David Massey, CEO of SIRC, said in a Money TV interview that he would be going to Colorado soon to look at another EV Charging Station Division potential acquisition.

California has pushed solar for all new residences built beginning in 2020 and now may be jumping the gun on banning construction of all conventional gasoline stations. Petaluma, California is first town in country to ban construction of new gas stations, although its does streamline the approval at existing stations to add EV electric chargers and hydrogen fuel cell stations.

Although just 15-square-miles in size, Petaluma could place itself on the map in a big way as it forces infrastructure in California to get ready now for an all-electric future. Petaluma is committed to wipe out all carbon emissions by 2030. Matt Krogh at Stand.earth, said, “There’s no need for new fossil fuel infrastructure, from gas stations to pipelines to refineries. In California in particular, where state climate targets are required by law, new gas stations will have a short shelf life, and could be abandoned before they make enough money to to pay for their own shut down and clean up. This gas station ban is a common sense step to not get further bogged down by fossil fuel infrastructure.”

Still, it seems that this mighty legislation from a tiny California town is moving very rapidly to eliminate fueling for gas vehicles and promote only EV Charging and Hydrogen. In 2019, government numbers show, there were some 128,000  retail gas stations in the U.S. and only 4,890 fast-charging fast charging EV stations, according to the Department of Energy (DOE).

SIRC’s pending Pacific Lighting Management, Inc., acquisition gives Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) entry into several long term (IDIQ-type government contracts with the General Services Administration (GSA and GSA Fleet). Its customers also include federal, state and local governments, school districts, hospitals and large commercial clients, the Company said. Pacific Lighting is also qualified by the U.S. Department of Energy as an ESCo (Energy Services Company).

Pacific Lighting is a GAAP-audited diversified EV charging services provider to large commercial and government customers, he said. Founded in 2003, Pacific Lighting serves mainly government and large commercial clients. It is based in Southern California, in Santa Ana. Learn more at http://www.pacltg.com/. David Massey, CEO of SIRC, said, “Pacific Lighting is a highly respected brand and will be a transformative partnership for our company, expanding our opportunities in the significant government contract market. Their Energy Services Company ESCo qualification is difficult to obtain and is held by just a few dozen large construction companies and a fraction of small businesses, authorizing them to enter into the often large-scale ‘performance contracts’ with federal and local governments.” Massey also said he would be traveling to Colorado soon to assess another potential candidate for acquisition into the dedicated EV charging stations solutions division.

GM (NYSE: GM) and Tesla  (NASDAQ: TSLA) Address Electric Cars Longer Distance Anxiety Among Potential Buyers

GM (NYSE: GM) and Tesla  (NASDAQ: TSLA) have acknowledged that potential electric car buyers are happy with shorter distance driving but express anxiety about whether their electric cars can be counted on for longer distances when a nationwide network of EV fast-charging stations is not yet complete. GM has announced plans to open 2,7000 EV charging stations within five years. President Biden envisions a nationwide network of 500,000 chargers nationwide in the next five years — that dream would cost billions of dollars and is unlikely anytime soon.
