They say politics makes strange bedfellows. So how do you explain the newest joint venture partners Honda and Sony teaming up to produce an all electric vehicle by 2025. The two tech giants will jointly produce the new EV. They have produced hybrid vehicles prior — but together they will now develop and sell an all-electric model. Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) refocuses itself on addressing the fast-growing EV Charging Station business.

Honda and Sony seem like unlikely partners for an EV vehicle. But they have reached agreement to do so.

Kenichiro Yoshida, Sony Group CEO, says Sony showed an electric car concept at the CES gadget show in Las Vegas two years ago. Ever since, it has been looking for an auto partner, he said.

“The joint venture with Sony will be separate, meant to produce unexpected value,” says Honda Chief Executive Toshihiro Mibe.

The two companies did not rule out a future stock listing of the joint venture.

Funny that might be an issue. Ford (NYSE: F) is creating an ‘e’ division internally from its legacy auto business. ‘e’ may also become a separate stock.

The ‘Ford Model e’ will come complete with its own P&L to house its now unprofitable but fast-growing electric car business — currently producing the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning pickup truck.  Will it be a separate publicly listed stock. No one knows for sure right now.

Meanwhile, Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) refocuses its efforts on the EV Charging Station business.

Ford Motor Co.’s (NYSE: F) is thinking of ways to separate its electric car operations from its legacy business, according to a report by BloombergThe internal move could enable it to raise more capital to produce ‘e’ vehicles in the future. The Wall Street Journal says it may be simpler than all that: hiring tech talent for a new division with its own stock.

Whatever the reason, it will split Ford (NYSE: F) does the middle and make it P&L accountable for its own performance. It could be a stand out, or its otherwise performance can stand out. Either way, model ‘e’ will have to stand out on its own — fully analyzed performance.

And, yes, if ‘e’ does well, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) like valuations can be driven in the future, satisfying corporate goals. If TSLA earns a $1 trillion valuation and a soaring stock price, why shouldn’t Ford’s ‘e’  be a standalone public stock if it can perform as well. To Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC), the heightened awareness, reporting structure and model launches in electric vehicles only brings a higher profile to supporting EV Charging Stations.

SIRC not only competes in that industry through its PLEMCo.,subsidiary, parent SIRC recently announced it has signed an LOI to acquire three LA-based complementary EV Charging Station companies in that industry.

The Company’s goal is simply separating the company internally. Internal  experts say the Ford family, which controls the company through a special class of stock and maintains three seats on the Board, still is not fully sold.

A move to separate electric car operations from its legacy business would give the company greater access to the capital markets, which have been generous in valuing Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA). Ford Motor (NYSE: F) reported a record-breaking net profit of $17.9 billion for 2021 —  yet roughly half of that profit was a paper gain made on Ford’s equity in the successful Rivian Automotive (NASDAQ: RIVN) electric car IPO last Fall.

General Motors (NYSE: GM) is not making a similar move. Although EV is represented in various company divisions — from Chevrolet to Cadillac — it is represented within the company, not as a separate electric unit by itself.

Meanwhile, in a move that will soon drive demand for EV Charging Stations in North America, General Motors (NYSE: GM) has now raised its sales target for electric vehicles to 400,000 in North America in 2022-2023 compared to only 25,000 Bolt models sold last year. If the target sales are met, it could mean a spectacular opportunity for Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) and its PLEMCo. Subsidiary that builds EV Charging Stations.

Electric charging stations are  projected to reach $111.90 Billion by 2028 with a 30.26% CAGR jump, says Fortune Business Insights.
