The new analysis by site Opensignal finds that the lack of mid-band spectrum has placed the U.S. in the overall download speed experience as 11th out of 12 regions surveyed. Saudi Arabia, Canada and South Korea were ranked high at 1,2 and 3. In terms of download speed itself, the U.S. was last in 12th place.

However, Opensignal found that in terms of active use and coverage of 5G, the U.S. ranked 5th with 19.3% of availability to mobile SmartPhone users. The report says the U.S. should continue to gain here as its 5G low-band network services from AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) and T-Mobile US (NASDAQ: TMUS) drive greater 5G availability.
