The Atlas Study, which also finds: “Achieving 100% passenger electric vehicle sales by 2035 will require installation of an estimated 495,000 public and workplace charging ports, a finding similar to the 500,000 EV chargers call for in the American jobs Plan.” Atlas also finds that the current pace of investments falls ‘woefully short’ of the $87 billion required over the next decade to achieve 100% electric passenger vehicle sales by 2035. Atlas plans to publish in late spring its assessment of needs for electrification infrastructure required for all-electric trucks. The dual port chargers are being supported by New York State rebates of up to $4,000 per charging port to deploy chargers within the state. BLNK sees the EV charging station industry as growing fast through 2025.
