The trend of forming partnerships between OEM electric car makers and now auto tire brands and EV Charging Station companies continues. Now Blink (NASDAQ: BLNK) has partnered with Bridgestone for EV Charging Stations. This partnershp announced yesterday follows the moves by General Motors (NYSE: GM) to form an alliance with EVgo (NASDAQ: EVGO) for the installation of fast chargers. EVgo has the inside track to install 2,500 chargers for GM by the end of 2025. Nissan has chosen Allegro to provide EV Charging for its European operations. This is comprised of more than 600 dealerships and related locations across 16 European countries. Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) could develop this new revenue stream for EV Charging Station installer subsidiary PLEMCo.

The newly announced Blink (NASDAQ: BLNK) agreement with Bridgestone Retail Operations to install 50 Blink IQ200 EV Charging Stations at 25 Firestone Retail Auto Care centers are another step between EV Charging Station installers and OEM electric car makers, branded tire centers and others — such as convenience stores and even some restaurants.

OEM car makers see the profit opportunity in EV Charging Stations, but have their hands full competing in the EV car/truck market itself. Market leader Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) owns the dominant 56% share of the charging industry — but it offers only a proprietary charger for Tesla’s vehicles only.

Michael Farkas, founder and CEO of Blink Charging (NASDAQ: BLNK), says, “Demand for EVs is expected to continue to rise exponentially. More EVs on the streets brings a need for need for EV car services in addition to increased demand for convenient charging stations for EVs to fuel up.”

He added that the collaboration between Blink and the Bridgestone brand will result in Blink installing fast-charging level 2 stations in 25 locations in: Austin, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

GM’s goal is $280 billion by 2030 in electric cars, as it partners with EV charging company EVgo (NASDAQ: EVGO) for the installation of fast chargers. EVgo may have the inside track to install 2,500 chargers for GM by the end of 2025, but it spells opportunities for others.

In Europe, OEM electric car makers are also partnering with EV Charging Station installers. Nissan’s choice of European EV Charging Station installer Allegro is a forerunner of another exclusive partnership in North America. More electric vehicles are coming  from Nissan as well as Mercedes, BMW, Audi and other European OEM electric car brands.

Solar installers are attractive to OEM electric car companies because 80% of all charging is completed in the home, the federal Energy Department has learned. SIRC is an applicant for some $80 million in government funded grants to build EV Charging Stations.

To solar installers, this is equally an attractive route because their tech specialists are already in the home with other projects — such as solar installations and renewable solar battery sales. Either way, solar work and EV Charging Station plugs for the home are complementary. That’s why OEM electric car makers are partnering with solar installers. For SIRC’s PLEMCo., this would be a lucrative new revenue stream strategy.

Europe is far ahead of electric car ownership in the U.S. Domestically, EVs represent only 4% of all new vehicle sales. Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) is a leader in electric car sales as well as its own proprietary EV Charging Stations. But other OEM electric car makers are partnering with specialty installers for EV Charging Stations in the home, at public locations and at commercial sites.

Nissan is an important potential client for EV Charging Station installers because it initially led the field, beside Tesla, early on with its Nissan Leaf. It could only travel a small and limited number of miles on an electric charge. But it didn’t follow up on that early leadership vehicle, and now it has fallen behind others — such as Rivian and others.

As electric vehicles languish at about 4% of US auto sales — potential buyers fear running out of charge. They need to see and use more EV Charging Stations nationally. The Federal government is providing tailwinds under its newly-passed ‘Infrastructure’ Biden administration bill. But that $1 trillion bill with incentives of about $7.5 billion for the EV industry cannot on its own force consumer sales. Too many simply want more EV Charging Stations.

If Biden is to hit his goal of a government-owned fleet of 500,000 electric vehicles — and hit 2030 carbon pollutant-reduction goals — he will need rental cars to help do the trick. He will fund the building of more EV Charging Stations. That’s great news for installers like SIRC and its PLEMCo. subsidiary.

Firms like Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) are more bullish than ever on the future of its subsidiary PLEMCo.’s EV Charging Station business. Everything is at stake. Tesla may be the most visible electric car company to most consumers, but Wall Street investors know better. They are betting on Rivian (NASDAQ: RIVN), startups like Foxconn, and the move by General Motors (NYS: GM) and Ford (NYSE: F) into all-electric cars and trucks in the near future.

General Motors (NYSE: GM) plans to introduce 30 all electric vehicle models globally by 2025, beginning with its first electric pickup truck being shown trade events— a competitor to Ford’s (NYSE: F) new ‘Lightning,’ an electric version of its best-selling ‘150’ pickup truck.

The EV Charging Station industry, supporting the electric car industry, is seen as a sweet spot in the future.

SIRC is a proponent of an eco-system of green energy. The EV Charging Station sector is an important space for SIRC, in addition to its roofing, solar and rechargeable solar battery businesses.
