New Solar Renewable Battery Study Tests ‘Neighborliness’ With Neighbors Shar-ing Batteries To Create ‘Virtual Power Plant’ And New Power Grid; Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) Focused On Solar Through Its Family Of 13 Companies

In a major disruption of how solar energy can replace the traditional electric grid, the University of Minnesota in a new test is spending $550,000 to fund a new study testing how neighbors can team up to share solar energy they produce to create an off-the-grid ‘virtual power plant’ without needing central electric power plants. The houses in the study will, in effect, be trading stored energy in the solar batteries. Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) is focused on Solar through integration of Its family of 13 Companies operating in some 40 states.

The test by UOM will analyze how up to four ‘virtual’ neighbors can sell or share their solar energy saved in reusable solar batteries. Developers believe the new study, featuring four battery packs, can offer a representative view of what new electrical grids will look like in the future. Conducting/assembling the pilot study are Renewable Energy Partners (REP). Jamez Staples, founder of REP, said, “It’s one of the country’s first ‘virtual power plant’ pilot projects. His green jobs training center is hosting the project.

Michael Krause, consultant to REP, said, “The idea is that we’re going to test out the virtual power power plant model, the kind of peer-to-peer sales model … It’s really what the energy grid is going to very likely look like in the next five to ten years.”

The game plan is for every one of the four ‘virtual’ houses will have solar battery power packs, but only two will be fitted with solar panels producing energy. Also bullish on solar energy — shared or not — is SIRC and its subsidiary, USA Solar Networks. Pablo Diaz, CEO of the SIRC subsidiary, said the 13 companies who are a family of SIRC firms operating in some 40 states, see the efficiency of solar energy in the green energy eco-environment. SIRC participates in solar panel installation and solar reusable batteries — in fact, SIRC is an authorized installer of Tesla’s PowerWall solar batteries.

The USA Solar Networks has been closing joint ventures that will give it the ability to educate and seek more dealers and contractors in the solar sector. The result will be more monthly revenue as USA Solar Networks manages more solar installation jobs across its 40 state footprint.

“We manage the integrity of the process,” Diaz said. “I have been watching SIRC for several years now — they were doing every acquisition I would advise.” He added that the company is flourishing in an age of new technology in which fossil fuels are being replaced by alternative energy and vertical growth opportunities. “Dave Massey (Chairman and CEO of SIRC) created an eco-system” combining energy solutions in sectors such as solar, roofing, rechargeable solar battery storage systems, EV Charging Stations, even green agricultural farming, he said.

He called the USA Solar Network itself  his “brainchild” and was bullish about the ability of SIRC and its family of 13 companies operating in 40 states to, together, offer client’s solutions to all of their alternative energy needs. Diaz added that after he appeared in a NASDAQ Marketsite interview in New York City recently, a torrent of rains from Hurricane Ida caused flooding in the region. “All of this put a strain on the grid and we need electricity,” he said, noting that people want security against electricity outages.

One challenge facing SIRC, he said, is credibility with customers on the issue of believing all the cost-saving benefits can be achieved. Potential clients have to be assured that alternative energy offers security — people will have electricity regardless of weather conditions outdoors. “Economics have caught up in such a way that some people can realize six figure savings now.”

Dave Massey, Chairman/CEO of SIRC, said, “The second quarter of fiscal 2022 was highlighted by strong organic growth from our complementary solar, roofing and EV charging brands that drove record sales numbers. Notably, the quarter’s sales figures do not include a full quarter of revenue at scale from Future Home Power (FHP) or USA Solar Network — we believe we can double this quarter’s sales results going forward as we realize a full quarter of revenue from these acquisitions and continue our rapid pace of organic growth.”

Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC) preliminary and unaudited sales soared to a record $25 million for Q2, the three months ended August 31, 2021, without full quarterly scale of two major acquisitions:  Future Home Power(FHP) and USA Solar Network, the Company announced.

Congress is in the final stages of preparing a combination of two final total infrastructure bills which call for extended and additional solar tax credits.  To firms like Solar Integrated Roofing Corp. (OTC PINK: SIRC), the infrastructure program is key to future renewable green spending — such as federal tax credits for solar installations. Biden has said he wants to double the number of solar panels in operation in the U.S.
