As the largest telecommunications providers compete globally to win the race to build the quickest 5G networks with the most coverage, observers have expressed concern that 5G radiation effects, which are higher than current 4G industry standards, might have a negative health impact on humans, especially children. But a new study by Oregon State University on zebrafish reported by site MedicalXPress finds that 5G radiation is ‘predominately benign’ and likely not harmful. That’s great news for the future of 5G and participants in its installation and usage such as  T-Mobile  (NASDAQ: TMUS), Verizon  (NYSE: VZ), AT&T (NYSE: T), Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) and others.

5G Networks Health Impact Is Predominately ‘Benign’: New Analysis From Oregon State University On Zebrafish Finds That 5G Likely Not Harmful

The report, published in the journal PLOS ONE, and summarized by MedicalXPress, reports that its zebrafish study found that 5G radiation is safe: “Based on our study, we don’t think 5G radiation is that harmful,” said Subham Dasgupta, a postdoctoral fellow working in the lab of Robyn Tanguay at Oregon State University. “It’s predominantly benign.” The study analyzed the impact of 5G on embryonic zebrafish, a model organism. 5G Networks Health Impact Is ‘Benign’: New Analysis From Oregon State University On Zebrafish Finds That 5G Likely Not Harmful.

Zebrafish Research Can Be Applied To Humans

Studies have shown that zebrafish research can be applied to humans, researchers said. In the study, embryonic zebrafish were exposed for two days to 3.5 GHz radio frequency radiation, the frequency typically used by 5G cell phones. Sudden sound impact of 5G radiation on zebrafish and and an analysis on the gene level as zebrafish develop from embryos to adults are planned for the future, Oregon State University said. 5G Networks Health Impact Is ‘Predominantly Benign’: New Analysis From Oregon State University On Zebrafish Finds That 5G Likely Not Harmful.

The 5G Network Building Race In The U.S. Between T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T And Others

The race to build 5G networks across the U.S.is complicated by community concerns about the impact on health, particularly on children by the radio waves. This study should go a long way towards alleviating those concerns.
